CPE Registration
Information
Introduction:
The WICPA Continuing Professional Education
Department provides a curriculum of educational activities relevant to members,
their staff, clients, potential clients and other accounting professionals. These
programs are designed to meet professional standards of quality and to present qualified
and interesting discussion leaders, giving members the opportunity to remain current with
changes in the profession.
Speakers and discussion leaders at times express their own views or those of the
author. Such views and opinions have not been approved or endorsed by the
WICPA.

Phoning the office does not guarantee your registration unless secured by
MasterCard/Visa. Walk-in registrations may be accepted at the door if space and materials
are available and payment must be made by check or credit card only.
Please call the day before if you plan on walking-in to ensure the class
is not full or has been canceled.
Is there any advantage to registering early?
Definitely yes!
-
Most seminars are limited in size, and registering early will guarantee you the seminars
of your choice.
-
The WICPA can avoid having to cancel a course due to insufficient early registrations.
-
There is an Early Bird Discount you can take advantage of by registering at least thirty
days before the date of the seminar. (See "Fees" below)

Fees:
How does the Early Bird Discount work?
To receive the $25.00 per person, Early Bird Discount, the following stipulation must
be met. Each seminar must be registered for or post marked, and paid for, at
least thirty days before the date of the seminar.
The discount applies to seminars only and not to conferences. The WICPA Early Bird
Discount applies to full-day seminars (8 CPE hours or more).
Payment (less discount) or correct credit card information must accompany
registrations.
Do I receive other benefits on registration fees as a WICPA
member?
Yes. WICPA members pay only the
member fee. Non-members pay an additional $30 seminar fee, which is included in the
non-member prices.
What do I get for my registration fee?
Each seminar fee includes:

Cancellations:
What happens if I have to cancel for some reason?
In order to receive a full refund, the WICPA CPE
Department must receive notification of cancellation at least two weeks
prior to the program presentation date.
Cancellations received less than 14 days before the presentation
date will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50 percent of the full
program registration fee (rounded up to the next dollar amount), not to
exceed $100.00 per person per program.
No refunds will be granted for cancellations on the day of
or subsequent to the day of the program presentation.
No refund will be issued unless all course materials that may
have been received have been returned to the WICPA CPE Department.
Materials must be returned within two weeks of the program date
or any refund will be forfeited. If
you decide to send a substitute, please notify the WICPA office or the
on-site staff person the day of the seminar so CPE credit can be
correctly recorded.
What happens if the WICPA cancels a program?
If a program is canceled less than two weeks prior to the presentation date, you will
be notified directly by phone and a follow-up notification by mail. Full refunds will be
granted. If course materials were sent in advance, you must return them to the WICPA in
order to receive a refund. Your early registration can help us to avoid canceling a
program.
NOTE: WICPA
is not responsible for any personal expenses incurred if a course is
cancelled

If you decide to send a substitute, please notify the WICPA office or the on-site

Transfers:
Would it be possible for me to transfer instead of cancel?
Yes. Your registration can always be transferred within your firm, faculty,
corporation, etc., to someone else who wishes to attend the same course. In some cases,
transfers can be arranged from one program to another for yourself. Such transfers are not
automatic; they should be discussed with the CPE Department.

Program/Materials:
What is the presentation method for seminars?
Educational methods for programs vary and may include role-playing, problem-solving and
workshop sessions. The most frequently-used method is the case study: a problem-solving
interaction among participants and discussion leader in a specific subject-related
situation. Rarely is the program an authoritative lecture format.
Program materials will be mailed out automatically, if you do not show for a class and
do not receive a refund.

Agenda:
What time do the seminars start?
Registration for all full-day seminars will be held from
8:00-8:30 a.m. at the program
facility. All programs will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 4:00 p.m. A group
luncheon will be provided from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. Coffee, tea and soft drinks will be
provided during registration, morning and afternoon breaks. Any variation in program times will be listed in
the program description and on the registration confirmation. Because conference agendas
may vary, please refer to individual conference brochures for exact agendas.
What else should I know before arriving that day?
If you plan to stay overnight, a block of guest rooms is held for WICPA members, at a
discount rate, at the program facility until 30 days prior to the presentation date. You
must identify yourself as a WICPA member in order to receive the special rate.
Hotel room reservations made within 30 days of the program date are subject to
availability.
