Scott Haumersen, CPA receives WICPA Distinguished Career Award
Scott Haumersen, CPA, managing partner at Wegner LLP, CPAs & Consultants in Madison, is the recipient of the 2010-2011 WICPA Distinguished Career Award for his professional accomplishments and for his dedicated service to the WICPA and local community. Haumersen is past chair of WICPA Southern Chapter’s Public Interest Committee; past chair of WICPA Public Service Committee; president of Institute of Management Accountants; member of AICPA; member of WICPA Quality Review Committee; member of National Center for Non-Profit Boards; member of Society of Non-Profit Organizations; site coordinator of Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program; National Affiliate Representative, Accountants for the Public Interest; founding board member of Wisconsin Nonprofits Association and Leadership Council, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Center for Nonprofits. “What a wonderful profession this is! It allows each of us to pursue our passions in a meaningful way, said Haumersen. “There are so many opportunities whether it is to educate and mentor others, to advocate for adherence to professional standards, solving problems for our clients or making our community a better place to live.” Haumersen resides in Sun Prairie. |
