Germantown resident named to WICPA Board of Directors Joan M. Phillips, CPA, partner with Deloitte & Touche LLP, has been named vice president of the 2011-2012 Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA) Board of Directors. Phillips is a past president of the WICPA Educational Foundation, Inc. and volunteers with several other organizations, including the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum and as a trustee at her parish. Phillips resides in Germantown.
The WICPA is the premier professional organization for Wisconsin CPAs, with more than 8,000 members working in public accounting, industry, government and education. Like other professionals, certified public accountants are required to obtain additional education, take a rigorous exam and become certified.
