CPA or bust With the staffing crisis facing the accounting profession, current CPAs are looking to fill the pipeline with new, young professionals. The Texas Society of CPAs has developed an interactive Web site that you and your students will find helpful. Take a road trip and visit Destination CPA.
Accounting salaries Take a look at the average salaries for college graduates in public and private accounting. To see what can be earned with CPA certification, add around 10 to 15 percent extra to the average starting salaries. Salary information was taken from the 2007 Robert Half salary guide.

CPAs on YouTube Do you want to tell your students what a CPA does? Use today’s popular Web site, YouTube, and have them watch a video which was created by the Maryland Association of CPAs, titled "Defining America's CPAs: Maryland," the video is a compilation of 30 interviews conducted during the MACPA's "road show" in early December 2006. MACPA Executive Director Tom Hood, Editor Bill Sheridan and a video team from the AICPA's MultiMedia Group spent four days traveling throughout the state and interviewing members about their jobs and their inspirations.
