Classified advertising (Web only):

  • Classified ads:  $0.99/word + $50 insertion fee
  • Classified ads are posted on the WICPA Web site only
  • Web ads run for 30 days from posting date
  • Ads typically get posted within 24 hrs. if received during normal business hours
  • Ads may be e-mailed to ads@wicpa.org
  • All copy is subject to review by the WICPA

2006 INSERTION ORDER

 

Web ad space available to non-profit organizations that need CPA volunteers:

Do you know of a non-profit organization that could use the expertise of a volunteer CPA? The Wisconsin Institute of CPAs has free classified advertising on its Web site, www.wicpa.org, for non-profits seeking volunteers.

This service is for federally tax-exempt organizations that match the interests of WICPA volunteers but have not been able to find volunteers after using regular local channels first.  WICPA also offers paid advertising for paid positions (see www.wicpa.org, For the Public, Advertising info). 

To submit an ad:

  • Simply write a short employment-type “ad” with a brief explanation of your organization and its location. Add a sentence that describes the volunteer work with which you need assistance. Add your name and contact information so that the CPA can contact you directly.

  • Ads must be less than 50 words and have contact information that refers volunteers directly to the non-profit. The WICPA reserves the right to edit ads and select those deemed appropriate for publication.

  • Non-profits will be assisted on a first-come, first-served basis. Ads are posted for one month.

Magazine advertising placement, rates and sizes:

  • If you choose standard placement, the WICPA will determine the placement of your advertisement. If you choose special placement, the WICPA will try to accomodate your placement request. Special placements are charged an additional 10%.

  • All dimensions are live space.

  • Bleeds are charged an additional 15%.
     

  • 2-page spread: 16" x 10" (17.25" x 11.25" w/bleed)

  • Full page: 7" x 10" (8.65" x 11.25" w/bleed; trim size: 8.375" x 10.93")

  • 2/3 page vert: 4.75" x 9.75"

  • 2/3 page horiz: 7.75" x 6.0"

  • 1/2 page horiz: 7.25" x 5.0"

  • 1/3 page horiz: 7.75" x 3.0"

  • 1/3 page vert: 2.25" x 9.25"

TERMS

(i) A signed and dated insertion order must be received before any ad can be included in the publication.

(ii) All materials submitted as advertising are subject to acceptance for publication at the discretion of the WICPA.

(iii) Advertisers and advertising agencies assume liability for all content of advertisements printed and also assume responsibility for any claims arising against the publisher.

(iv) Advertiser agrees that he/she remains principally liable under this contract and that payment by the advertiser through an ad agency does not constitute proper payment as per the terms of this contract until payment is received by the WICPA. No agency discounts.

(v) Advertising rates are subject to change. Publisher will notify contract advertisers in writing 30 days prior to rate change, at which time advertiser may either accept the new rate for remainder of contract term or cancel without short-term penalty.

(vi) Advertisers may receive publication issue later than those on our regular mailing list.

(vii) Advertisers who qualify for multiple ad discounts will be expected to pay for all ads ordered unless cancellations are made in writing. Multiple ads must be ordered at one time for discounts to apply.

(viii) The WICPA reserves the right to refuse or cancel orders from advertisers with past due accounts.

(ix) A signature on the insertion order form indicates advertiser has read and understood all contract terms.

(x) If you choose standard placement, the WICPA will determine the placement of your advertisement. If you choose special placement, the WICPA will work with you on the preferred location of your ad.
 

NOTE: Cancellations must be received in writing prior to the art deadline. Ads pulled after the art deadline will be charged the full rate. NO CANCELLATIONS OR SUBSTITUTIONS ACCEPTED AFTER THE ART DEADLINE. VERBAL ORDERS ARE BINDING.


Artwork and printing requirements (display ads):

HIGH RESOLUTION ELECTRONIC FILES

  • High-resolution Adobe PDFs are preferred.

  • Only PC-based files will be accepted: QuarkXpress 4.0–5.0, InDesign CS or higher, Illustrator 9 or higher, Photoshop 7 or higher.

  • Electronic files must be built to the exact ad dimensions.

  • Small ads may be sent via e-mail. Large files must be saved to CD and sent via postal mail.

All ads must be accompanied by a 100% paper proof
(faxes are acceptable).

PRODUCTION CHARGES

Advertiser will be billed for production services and alterations on any ads not furnished to the above specifications. We are happy to assist in the production of your ad. We ask that you provide copy, high-quality logos, photographs or artwork and a sample layout with adequate time for production and proofing. Copy received after copy deadline cannot be guaranteed the right of approval or revision. Corrections will be made free of charge. However, copy or art changes will be billed at the rates stated below.

• Layout & design: $75/hr. ($25 minimum)

• Ad changes/corrections: $45 per occurrence
