Congratulations to the 2008 grant recipients!

Twenty-one Wisconsin high school teachers have been awarded Accounting Career Awareness Grants by the WICPA Educational Foundation, Inc. The Foundation awarded $39,380 for local projects that promote accounting as a career and involve interaction with Wisconsin CPAs.

This year we will hold two High School Educators Accounting Symposiums!

Highlights:

  • Share curriculum and receive ideas from your peers on how to supplement your current curriculum
  • Hear from a panel of CPAs who work in various positions health care
  • Receive first-hand information about college accounting from a panel of professors
  • Listen to three views on accounting from a student, a young professional and a seasoned professional
  • Network with CPAs and professors at lunch

 

Both Symposiums will also feature a faculty panel from a variety of Wisconsin colleges and universities.

 

All teachers who attend either Symposium will be eligible to apply for a Career Awareness Grant from the WICPA Educational Foundation, Inc.
