WICPA Staff

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER: Dennis Tomorsky ext. 3014
Directs all WICPA operations. Available to answer questions concerning accountancy regulation and legislative issues affecting the CPA profession. Serves as staff liaison to the following committees: Federal Taxation, Nominations, Public Policy, Professional Conduct and Wisconsin Taxation, as well as all ad hoc committees and the Educational Foundation.

DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND OPERATIONS: Tammy Hofstede ext. 3013

Oversees and manages the WICPA’s budget, financial and daily operations, public policy initiatives and the WICPA Educational Foundation, Inc. Plays a strategic role in researching and implementing best business practices. Staff liaison to the Finance and Public Policy Committees.

IT/Membership Coordinator: Nathan Dotterweich ext. 3020
Oversees maintenance of servers and workstations, hardware and software installation and strategic planning regarding technology. Maintains membership records, processes new memberships and membership dues. Coordinates membership recruitment and retention efforts.

Accounting Assistant: Diana Hill ext. 3011
Processes accounts payable, accounts receivable and daily cash receipts. Provides support and assistance to the director of administrative services with end-of-month financial activities and annual audit.


Director of Public Relations and Communication: Amy Gaeth ext. 3006

Directs Communications Department and activities including publications, advertising, media relations, Web site and accounting careers. Supervises the following staff members:

Editor/Writer: Cynthia Hodnett ext. 3004
Provides expertise and planning for On Balance magazine, writes for and edits the magazine and leads the magazine team. Works directly with members, writers and photographers on contributions to the magazine. Writes and edits several other WICPA print and online publications, including The Bridge, CPE Catalog, Frequency and the Web site.

Manager of Student Initiatives and Financial Literacy:
Mary Murray ext. 3005

Works with WICPA members and educators to provide accounting careers materials and opportunities to schools. Develops and implements financial literacy program, working with media, the members and the general public. Liaison to the Accounting Careers Committee and other education-related task forces and programs.

Coordinator of Student Initiatives and Young Professionals:
Leah Grunewald ext. 3026

Coordinates college student initiatives and serves as liaison to Wisconsin’s Beta Alpha Psi chapters. Writes and edits CPA2B and contributes Web site and magazine content. Coordinates young professionals programs, serves as liaison to Young Professionals Task Force, and serves as editorial contact for Cool Beans column in On Balance.


Director of Continuing Professional Education: - Keith Chrisler 3007
Directs and supervises the CPE staff members who plan, implement and administer all conferences and seminars. Coordinates the marketing and needs assessment programs of the CPE department. Oversees the peer review program under the direction of the peer review coordinator. 

Conference & Meeting Coordinator - Victoria Italiano ext. 3009
Coordinates all WICPA conferences, i.e., Accounting and Auditing Governmental Financial Management Update, Annual Tax Conference, CPAs in Industry (spring and fall), Financial Institutions, Not-For-Profit and Health Care Financial.

Seminar Coordinator - Amanda Pickering ext. 3008
Coordinates all WICPA seminars and breakfast meetings, including course and speaker selection.  Responsible for the design, layout and content of the The Bridge and the CPE catalog. Creates other seminar marketing materials.

CPE Assistant - Sharon Jackson ext. 3024
Processes CPE course registrations and answers requests for information. Maintains Professional Development Center and coordinates CPE compliance programs. Assists the seminar and conference and meeting coordinators with daily administrative duties.
Serves as coordinator for scheduling the Professional Development Center.

Peer Review Administrator & CPE Assistant - Jessica Murphy ext. 3025
Coordinates the WICPA/AICPA Peer Review Program, including scheduling, documentation, and completion assurance. Liaison to Peer Review Committee.
Processes CPE course registrations and answers requests for information. Helps maintain Professional Development Center and coordinate CPE compliance programs. Assists the seminar and conference and meeting coordinators with daily administrative duties. Audits members for CPE compliance.
