Overview

Sessions covered in this On-Demand replay of the Financial Institutions Conference:

Economic Update
Joseph Schumpeter once said that the economy is never stationary and is always evolving. In this practical discussion of the economy, we will explore some of the events and conditions that got us here. It is important to understand how demographics, the political environment and trade considerations all impact the economy.

Accounting Update
Brace yourself. The audit and accounting world will continue to bring challenges and change. This session will address how the current environment calls for revisiting unique accounting issues of the past – while also digesting new standards with effective dates throughout 2021 and beyond.

The Impact of COVID-19 on Compliance Monitoring
Financial institutions need to look internally at their compliance monitoring programs and reevaluate processes, procedures and controls to ensure compliance in a COVID-19 banking environment. Enhanced compliance monitoring should be completed based on risk. In most financial institutions, this will include enhanced fair lending and monitoring of the Community Reinvestment Act, unfair, deceptive or abusive acts or practices, the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Accurate Credit Transactions Act. This presentation will discuss in detail the steps to ensure regulatory compliance and enhance monitoring within financial institutions.
