Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) have rapidly moved from a fringe item and investment class to a crypto option that has been embraced by numerous multinational corporations. This session will explain just what exactly NFTs are, how they operate and how they are different from other types and categories of crypto-assets. In addition, specific NFT tax, audit and valuation issues will be presented and explained to session attendees. Specific examples and use of NFTs beyond crypto-art will be presented and explained, both from an operational and accounting perspective.
