Eligible taxpayers who are anticipating an economic impact payment (EIP) soon can now check their payment status using the IRS’ Get My Payment tool.
The Get My Payment tool, available in English and Spanish, allows taxpayers to confirm whether the IRS has sent their stimulus payments and the delivery method (direct deposit or mail) for receiving them.
The IRS updates its EIP data once per day overnight. The agency advises taxpayers to use Get My Payment to check on the status of their stimulus payments, but not to call. IRS phone assistors do not have additional information beyond what’s on IRS.gov and in the Get My Payment tool.
