Dealing with Zoom fatigue

With videoconferencing becoming the new normal during the COVID-19 pandemic, people are understandably getting tired of meetings on Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams and other virtual conferencing platforms.

As the pandemic enters its second year, researchers from Stanford and other schools are starting to closely study how videoconferencing affects people on a psychological level. Eventually, the researchers want to make evidence-based recommendations on best practices to alleviate this “Zoom fatigue.”

In the meantime, users can take certain steps to improve their videoconferencing experience, like minimizing the Zoom window, hiding self-view or taking a break from the camera. See more tips.
