A series of bills Gov. Tony Evers signed into law Friday, March 26, includes legislation that allows accredited higher education credits, such as from a technical college, to count toward the 150-hour requirement to obtain a CPA license in Wisconsin.
The WICPA collaborated with the Accounting Examining Board for this bipartisan legislation (Bill 10) that helps students who have education hours from a non-bachelor's degree-granting institution pursue their CPA license.
