The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) intends to reopen the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) application portal by the end of this week. The SBA shut down the portal on its first day, April 8, due to technical issues.
The SBA recently said its vendors have repaired the root cause of the problems, but more tests are necessary before reopening the portal.
Once it sets an exact date and time to reopen the portal, the SBA will provide advance notice so that applicants can prepare and have access to the program.
Entities eligible to apply for an SVOG include operators of live venues, live performing arts organizations, museums, movie theaters, etc. See more.
