The SBA awarded $54.2 million in Shuttered Venue Operator Grants (SVOGs) to 50 recipients so far, the agency reported June 4.
These awards are the first issued since the creation of the SVOG program in December 2020 to help venues recover from the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The grants announced only represent a small fraction of the 13,783 funding requests received by the SBA.
The SVOG program provides eligible applicants with grants equal to 45% of their gross earned revenue, up to a maximum of $10 million. Learn more.
