Addressing loneliness among employees

In response to rising rates of loneliness among individuals during the pandemic, companies are prioritizing the well-being of their workers as they develop the next steps moving forward.

About 50% of millennials and 47% of baby boomers reported still feeling lonely since the pandemic, according to a recent survey of 1,001 respondents. And Zoom meetings make some workers feel even lonelier.

The effects of loneliness can lead to health problems, reduced productivity, turnover and burnout. So, what can employers to help their workers feel less alone?

While increasing face-to-face interaction might help some aspects of the work, it will not, by itself, create strong interpersonal bonds among colleagues. Consider these five important elements.
