Managers weigh pros and cons of remote working

At points during the COVID-19 pandemic, roughly 50% of the workforce was home-based and, for professionals, the proportion was significantly higher. Now, most employees face the prospect of going back to work — despite the popular appeal of working remotely.

Managers are now considering ways to find an ideal split between working from home and at the office. Both work environments have their pros and cons. Being at the office helps to build company culture. On the other hand, working remotely saves employees the time and expense of commuting.

While there is no definite number, many experts and academics suggest the ideal number of days to work from home is about two a week.
