Not only are CPAs familiar with the annual long hours of busy season each year, but many are also now left working long hours every month of the year. It is easy to see why workaholism is prevalent in the profession.

But that is where delegation can play an important role. By trusting other workers to help lighten your heavy load of responsibilities, you can focus your energy on things that matter most.

Start to delegate by thinking of five work activities that you can trust to other employees. Once you decide what to delegate away, put that plan into action. This practice can help you break the cycle of workaholism.
