Managing year-end stress with quick mindfulness habits

As year-end deadlines draw near, it is easy to feel overwhelmed when looking at the pile of projects yet to finish.

Most people find their stress increases during the holidays, according to a new report. Of the 2,434 Americans surveyed, 52% said the holiday season is stressful for them.

Focusing on the present, also known as mindfulness, may help reduce that stress. To do this, find one thing at your desk or room to focus on for one minute. Intently look at that one thing and avoid the urge to let distractions in.
