The IRS has revised its Form 14457, Voluntary Disclosure Practice Preclearance Request and Application, to include an expanded section on reporting virtual currency.
Form 14457 permits taxpayers who may face criminal persecution for not voluntarily disclosing important financial information.
The updated form also includes a penalty structure for employment and estate/gift issues as well as a check box for inability to pay in full. Learn more.
