The IRS is granting relief to farmers and fishers for filing their 2021 tax returns, according to a new notice issued on April 15.
Farmers and fishers will avoid underpayment penalties if they file their returns and pay this year’s due amount by April 18, 2022.
The relief comes after some taxpayers reported technical issues when trying to electronically file Form 7203. The relief is also available to farmers and fishers even if they do not need to file Form 7203 for 2021.
