Poll: US adults have more to learn about crypto, investing

April 7, 2022

Most U.S. adults have a beginner’s understanding of cryptocurrency, but plan on using such assets as a key source of retirement funds, according to a new financial literacy study.

The 2022 Investopia Financial Literacy Survey polled 4,000 U.S. adults spanning different generations about their financial know-how, habits, worries and retirement plans.

The poll found Americans are simultaneously trying to grasp personal finance basics, plan for retirement and invest in cryptocurrency. They learn differently than older generations, too.

The survey affirmed that younger generations feel they have more to learn about personal finance fundamentals, while older generations are more focused on planning for the future and maintaining wealth. See the key findings.
