The WICPA’s board chair, Angela C. Thomas, CPA, was recently named state controller of Wisconsin.
In her new position, Thomas provides executive leadership, direction and strategic planning in all financial management-related matters of state government.
She directs the state’s enterprise accounting, internal auditing, treasury, cash management and payroll operations. She also oversees the preparation of the state’s annual financial and fiscal reports, including Wisconsin’s annual comprehensive financial report.
Thomas now supervises the state’s controller office of more than 40 staff members.
