May 11, 2022

To help “bounceback” the Wisconsin economy following the COVID-19 pandemic, Gov. Tony Evers established last year the Main Street Bounceback grant program to help small businesses move into vacant downtown storefronts.

The program initially invested $50 million into the program with $10,000 grants issued to eligible businesses. The program helped more than 4,200 business and nonprofits move into new spaces, Evers said.

On Tuesday, May 10, the governor announced an additional investment of $25 million in Main Street Bounceback grants. The new deadline is Dec. 31. The Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. will disburse the grants on a first-come, first-served basis. Read more.
