In a new survey, nearly two-thirds (63%) of financial professionals involved in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) said their companies are preparing for an M&A deal this year.
The Deloitte survey, conducted in October 2022, asked more than 1,700 professionals about the M&A outlook for the new year.
Growth expectations via M&A are high according to survey findings, which report more than half (52%) of companies expect to execute up to five deals in 2023.
There’s a cap on ambition to acquire, however, with only 10% of respondents telling Deloitte that they expect more than five deals over the next twelve months. See more findings.
