The Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) has released its state tax bulletin for July 2023, which outlines the tax laws changed by the state’s repeal of the personal property tax.
In June, Gov. Tony Evers signed into law a bill that repeals the state’s personal property tax starting Jan. 1, 2024.
The DOR bulletin addresses how the repeal of the personal property tax impacts the manufacturing and agricultural property, veterans and surviving spouses property, school property and homestead tax credits.
The bulletin also outlines new income and franchise tax laws, sales and use tax laws, an enforcement report and reports on litigation.
