Nearly 250 IRS Taxpayer Assistance Centers (TACs) around the U.S. are extending their weekly office hours to give taxpayers more time to get face-to-face help during the filing season.
Wisconsinites across the state can find their local office using the IRS.gov TAC locator tool. The site lists services offered, including extended hours and directions to each office.
Taxpayers can also call 844-545-5640 to make an appointment or walk in to get help at the designated TACs offering extended time.
TACs will offer all regular services during these additional office hours, but taxpayers must have an appointment if they wish to make a cash payment. Read more.
