The IRS has announced tax relief for individuals and businesses in parts of Wisconsin affected by severe storms, straight-line winds, flooding and mudslides that began on Aug. 9, 2025.
Following the disaster declaration issued by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), individuals and households residing or having a business in Milwaukee, Washington and Waukesha counties qualify for tax relief.
Taxpayers affected by the severe storm conditions in those counties now have until Feb. 2, 2026, to file various federal individual and business tax returns and make payments.
As a result, affected individuals and businesses will have until Feb. 2, 2026, to file returns and pay any taxes that were originally due during this period. Learn more.
