Kevin Block, CPA, an accountant with MBE CPAs LLP in Sun Prairie, has completed Sun Prairie’s community leadership program, Leadership XXI, according to the Sun Prairie Star. The class graduated May 16.

James J. Bolgert, CPA, J.D., owner of Bolgert Mediation in Sheboygan, has been accepted by the American Arbitration Association to its National Roster of Arbitrators. Bolgert Mediation mediates civil and family disputes in eastern Wisconsin.

Scott Dell, CPA, MBA, MAE, assistant professor of accounting at Marian University, Fond du Lac has received Marian University’s 2018 Social Justice Award. Dell also received the WICPA 2018 Outstanding Educator Award.

James Lindell, CPA, received a 2017 Outstanding Discussion Leader Award from the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). Recipients of the award ranked in the top 10 percent of all AICPA instructor evaluations for 2017.

Michael Ruby, CPA, ABV, PFS, CGMA, has been appointed managing partner of KerberRose CPAs, effective June 1. He will lead the firm’s growth and expansion plan. Ruby steps into the shoes of David Kerber, CPA, who has been managing partner since the firm’s inception in 1979. Kerber will remain active in the firm as an accountant.

Merger: Schenck SC and Winter, Kloman, Moter & Repp
Regional Wisconsin CPA firm Schenck SC and Milwaukee-based Winter, Kloman, Moter & Repp (WKMR), will merge on July 1.

WKMR has provided audit, accounting, tax and business consulting services to closely held enterprises in southeastern Wisconsin since 1968. The firm is led by Daniel Gotter, CPA, ABV, CVA, CGMA, and has offices in Brookfield, Watertown and Oconomowoc. Although the Watertown office will close July 1, the firm’s Brookfield and Oconomowoc offices will remain open.
