How good is your grammar?

Words, spelling and punctuation can leave a lasting impression on others. But even the most educated people unknowingly make mistakes. Unless you’ve studied the art and craft of language or have an English degree, you’re probably making errors you’re unaware of.

Do you say “first-come, first-serve” or “first-come, first-served”? Do you insert an apostrophe to indicate possession, such as “it’s,” or plurals, such as “the Johnson’s” ? Both of those examples are wrong, by the way. Believe it or not, these small errors can make a difference in the way you’re perceived.
