November 17, 2019

Individual income tax rate reductions under Acts 9 and 10 for the tax year 2019 are slightly lower than estimated, according to updated information from the Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR).

The DOR recently reported the estimated increase in sales and use tax collections for Oct. 1, 2018, through Sept. 30, 2019, totaled an estimated $79.2 million. Based on the estimate, the Legislative Audit Bureau certified slightly lower tax rate reductions for the two lowest income tax brackets under Acts 9 and 10.

The combined effects of Acts 9 and 10 for the tax year 2019 can be found in a memorandum from the Legislative Fiscal Bureau.
