The IRS, state tax agencies and the nation’s tax community will promote the fourth annual National Tax Security Awareness Week from Monday, Dec. 2, through Friday, Dec. 6. The Security Summit partners will urge taxpayers, tax professionals and businesses to enhance online security during the holiday shopping season.
Tax Security Awareness Week will feature a weeklong series of educational materials to help taxpayers and tax pros guard against identity theft. You can find the schedule of events here.
The week will also include a social media effort on Twitter and Instagram with @IRSnews and the hashtag #TaxSecurity. A Twitter chat will be held Thursday, Dec. 5.
