How accounting firms can recruit Gen Zers

Undergraduate and graduate accounting students of Generation Z (Gen Zers) are attracted to firms that offer a strong company culture and opportunities for career growth, according to a new online survey by the Journal of Accountancy.

Gen Zers, born during the years 1996-2010, are better multitaskers and more entrepreneurial when compared to prior generations. Now that they are reaching adulthood and entering the workforce, it’s important to understand Gen Zers’ career expectations.

Accounting firms can improve their recruiting efforts by emphasizing and developing relationships between their current professionals and prospective interns during student recruitment.
