The Federal Trade Commission will co-host a series of free events highlighting the warning signs of tax identity theft to mark Tax Identity Theft Awareness Week from Monday, Feb. 3, through Friday, Feb. 7.
Various governmental agencies will present a number of webinars to help inform consumers of ways to protect themselves against tax identity theft. Some of the events offer special information for active-duty service members, older adults and small businesses.
