Millennials aren’t the only workers leaving their jobs at a high rate. Roughly a third of all American workers will voluntarily leave their jobs each year by the end of 2020 to pursue better professional development opportunities, according to the Work Institute.

Recruiting, hiring and training new staff members is an expensive endeavor, which is why employee retention is essential for a company’s long-term success. In today’s strong job market, the onus is on employers to demonstrate their value to team members and vice versa.
