Gov. Evers issues ‘safer at home’ order for Tuesday

March 23, 2020

On the morning of Monday, March 23, Gov. Tony Evers issued a ‘safer at home’ order starting Tuesday, March 24, to ensure the health and safety of Wisconsinites during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The order calls for the closure of all nonessential businesses across the state.

Evers asked Wisconsinites to limit their travel for only essential needs, like seeking medical care, buying groceries and getting medication.

Evers will announce more details soon, he said on Twitter.

The WICPA is working with Evers and the state legislature to categorize accounting services as essential under the new order during the public health emergency.
