The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) released its first round of guidance explaining paid sick leave and expanded family medical leave under the Families First Act.
The DOL, IRS and Treasury continue to work together to create this – and future – guidance. Current guidance includes fact sheets for employees and employers, and a Questions and Answers webpage.
AICPA’s Tax Advocacy Team continues to work on questions that still need answers.
The AICPA is also producing a webcast (likely to launch April 2) with rebroadcasts, said Cynthia Lund, AICPA vice president of State Society Affairs.
