DOR proposes temporary adjustments to payment and audit programs

March 27, 2020

To help citizens and businesses facing coronavirus-related challenges, the Wisconsin Department of Revenue (DOR) has proposed a series of steps to ease payment guidelines and postpone audit actions.

The proposed guidance document was submitted Friday, March 27, to the Legislative Reference Bureau for publication in the Administrative Register for public comment.

The proposed steps range from postponing certain payments related to installment agreements to limiting certain audit actions. The DOR will temporarily adjust certain activities, such as petitions for compromise and automated collection actions, from April 1 to July 15.
