State Supreme Court reinstates April 7 election

The Wisconsin Supreme Court has ruled Gov. Tony Evers cannot postpone Tuesday's primary election.

Evers issued an executive order Monday morning to delay Wisconsin's primary election until June 9 amid fears of the spread of the coronavirus.

The court granted a motion to prohibit Evers’ order from going into effect. The ruling reinstates Election Day voting for Tuesday, April 7.
