Gov. Tony Evers issued an executive order Tuesday, July 14, that creates a task force to update state lawmakers on new broadband actions and policy.
The task force, outlined in Executive Order #80, will provide strategies for expanding high-speed internet access to every residence, business and institution in the state.
Broadband access is essential for reaching community, public safety, learning, health and economic goals across Wisconsin and will be critical to the state’s economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Governor’s Office said. Read more.
