GASB has proposed new implementation guidance to clarify, explain or elaborate on existing guidance on subscription-based information technology arrangements (SBITAs).
The 2023 exposure draft addresses the issue of whether a cloud computing arrangement meets the definition of an SBITA as defined in GASB Statement No. 96, Subscription-Based Information Technology Arrangements.
GASB will accept comments on the proposed implantation guide through March 10. Individuals can submit their comments by email to director@gasb.org or through this electronic input form.
