The WICPA Educational Foundation supports a college scholarship program to reward students with scholarships of up to $2,500. Each year, up to $47,500 in scholarships will be awarded based on academic achievement, community service, a personal statement and letters of recommendation.
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Be a resident of Wisconsin and a U.S. citizen.
- Have full-time student status with a GPA of 3.0 or higher at a college or university that has an accounting program that qualifies the applicant to sit for the CPA Exam.
- Have completed 120 credit hours of a degree program that qualifies the applicant to sit for the CPA Exam but have not yet completed the 150-hour requirement.
- Be entering their last year to satisfy the 150-hour requirement and eligible to receive a master’s degree in business or accounting, or a double major/minor to satisfy the 150-hour requirement.
Recipients will be announced in April, with the scholarship to be mailed in August. If an applicant's situation changes to make him or her ineligible, the WICPA Educational Foundation must be notified immediately.
