Get Involved With the WICPA

Help move the profession forward by getting involved in the WICPA

Meaningful member involvement is a top priority at the WICPA, and joining our efforts is a great opportunity for future-oriented people who want to be part of moving the accounting profession forward.

Committees & Boards

One of the best ways to be part of moving the profession forward is by getting involved in a WICPA committee or board. With nearly 20 committees and boards available to serve on, there are many opportunities available.

CPAC & LIF Contribution

Financial contributions and involvement to support WICPA's participation in the legislative process helps maintain advocacy for the accounting profession and business communities in Wisconsin and against the elimination of CPA licensing, increased costs and greater risks for Wisconsin CPAs.

Educational Foundation Donation

A gift to the WICPA Educational Foundation helps students access education, career opportunities and resources that prepare them for success in the accounting profession.

High School Speaking Program

Give back to the profession by volunteering some of your time to go into high school classrooms to talk about the career opportunities available in accounting with the goal to help students better understand the potential a career in accounting can provide them. What's more, we've made it extremely easy for you to participate!

Host High School Accounting Class Visit

Too often, the educators do not know where to start and who to contact, so we would like to make it as easy as possible for the educators by providing them with a listing of organizations who have accounting recruitment and/or accounting informational activities in place (or are willing to develop them) to select from.

Key Legislative Contact Program

Legislators see WICPA members as trustworthy experts, who are knowledgeable and objective when it comes to business and economic issues that impact our state. To assist the WICPA in its advocacy efforts, we encourage WICPA members who have a direct connection with a legislator to become a Key Legislative Contact.

Pro Bono Opportunities

The WICPA allows the option for those in need of assistance to request pro bono assistance via our website. If a request is approved, it will be posted on the Pro Bono Opportunities page for either 14 or 30 days.

Reading Makes Cents

Each April, in conjunction with National Financial Literacy Month, the WICPA Educational Foundation hosts Reading Makes Cents as an easy and fun way for WICPA members to get involved in the community while helping increase financial literacy of elementary school students.
