High School Speaking Program

Opportunity to influence the pipeline by speaking to a high school accounting class

It is now more important than ever to recognize the importance of accounting to our communities and businesses and support outreach efforts for future accounting professionals.

With the challenges the accounting profession continues to face, we not only need to advocate, but also do everything we can to help it grow.

Participating is as easy as 1-2-3

As part of this initiative, we're asking you to give back to the profession by volunteering some of your time to go into high school classrooms to talk about the career opportunities available in accounting with the goal to help students better understand the potential a career in accounting can provide them.

We've made it extremely easy for you to participate! All you need to do is:

  1. Reach out to your own contact or send/email our pre-written letter to one or more high schools you're interested in speaking to a class at
  2. Schedule a day and time with the school(s)/teacher(s) to speak to a class
  3. Let us know by completing the High School Speaking Volunteer Form (below)

That's it! Once we receive your form, we'll provide everything you need, including a presentation with suggested script notes, talking points, tips, resources and fun gifts for students.

We sincerely hope you'll join us in this initiative because you'll not only contribute to the growth and strength of the profession, but also influence the leaders of tomorrow.
