2026 tax software survey offers latest CPA insights

In a recent tax software survey, 1,808 AICPA members shared their opinions on how well their software performed across a wide range of parameters.
They also shed light on the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in their practices, how they are expanding their firm’s offerings to clients with additional services, their use of tax and financial planning software, and any tools and applications they used to review tax returns to highlight potential planning opportunities for their clients.
The goal of the annual survey is to help CPAs and other tax practitioners make informed decisions about these crucial tax preparation tools and how to use them. See the survey results.
