About the Hackett Hemwall Patterson Foundation (HHPF): HHPF is a Madison-based 501(c)(3) dedicated to providing high-quality, no-cost medical care to underserved communities worldwide. We specialize in regenerative medicine (prolotherapy), vein care, dialysis-access surgeries, and ENT services, by training medical professionals and treating thousands of patients in need each year. We are seeking a volunteer CPA or internal audit professional to help us with an assessment of our internal controls. As we continue to grow our global footprint, we want to ensure our financial processes and oversight mechanisms are robust, efficient, and aligned with best practices for non-profit organizations. In particular, we need better practices for cash handling, expense reimbursement, fund transfers and reconciliations that are potential areas of financial risk.
